2010 - 2011 Season

LEAGUE NOTES - Just a couple of things to remember for the new season for new teams and old, Once a player has played for a team they are not allowed to transfer for the first month of the new season, transfers will be allowed this year between October 8th 2010 and December 31st 2010 at the latest. Any transfer requests must be notified to the committee with a fee of £5 to cover administration, any transfers required outside these dates will be at the discretion of the fixture secretary / committee. Players are not allowed to play for new team until any transfer is completed in full.

CAPTAIN PACKS - READ THEM ! Please make sure you read all of the pack that will be delivered to your venues before the season starts, leave it in a secure place where you have access to it at all times and especially during matches, do not lose it as there is a replacement fee of £10 to cover time and materials should you require a new one. Most of the questions raised during the year can be found easily in the caoptains pack and it is the responsibility of each team to know the rules for the league. CAPTAINS - take responsibility for your team!


NEW RULE - LATE CARDS; will not be allowed this year, there will be warnings and points deducted for repeat offenders this year, we hope all can see the benefits of having result cards in on time and make the effort to see them handed in as soon as possible, all points deducted and late card teams will be listed on website for transparency to the league. There is NEVER any reason a result cannot reach the committee, if you are having trouble then get in touch immediately you know there is a problem, we do not wish to deduct points but many cards were late last year from numerous teams.


1st Late card - will receive a verbal warning from the committee,2nd Late card - will receive a written warning from the chairman/secretary, 3rd and subsequent late cards will receive a 1 point penalty deduction from their league points.

Fixtures are in the process of being finished now with all competition dates added, captains packs will be going to teams soon so please make sure you read all the information inside, please disaply the fixtures and contact sheets in a prominant place to give benefit to our sponsors as well as to have information at hand when needed.

Cards MUST be handed in before 10pm on the Saturday following your Wednesday match, as the rules already state, it is the winning captains responsibility to make sure the card reaches the committee in time, we encourage sportsmanship where possible between teams and are happy, if both teams agree, to the losing captain handing the card in as long as it arrives on time also, if this is the case then it is the winning captains responsibilty to text a committee member the score (as normal) AND that they have given the card to the losing captain, should a card not arrive on time and the committee has been informed of the losing captain taking responsibility for the card then they may be penalized as per the committee's discretion. If the card does not arrive and no contact has been made by the winning captain then they will be penalized as per the new rule. There is never a situation where a result cannot make it to the committee on time, in the event of a crisis and on contact being made to a committee member then a 'copy' of the result may be forwarded in the form of mobile picture, email, or when no other option is available and with permission then facebook results showing all names and results will be allowed, these are an exception to the rule and will not be allowed to become the norm. The following is a brief description of the penalties :

• 1st Late card - will receive a verbal warning from the committee

The benefits to the league as a whole are obvious and will enable us to update web stats and poolpress write-ups more efficiently so that we all get what we want from the facilities we create.

Remember!

Should a match end in a draw then as per current rule the away captain takes responsibility for the card and penalties apply if cards are late. 

Get your card in before 10pm Saturday AND text your result in after your match! All warnings will be recorded .

No late cards, no problems !
